🎛️ 极致而刻意的低保真
这是一种介于回响贝斯、独立音乐、第N波情绪摇滚和芯片音乐之间的风格，自称为“比特失真音乐”，由18岁的美国音乐人、声音设计师兼插件开发者 (un)familiar 定义。自11岁起就身兼多职的他，已在 Billegal Sounds 厂牌发布了两张 Splice 音色包，并开发了在制作人圈内广受关注的频谱延迟插件 ‘Spectralsand’。他亦是 FORM 和 Niztopia 等线上音乐社区的常客，今年更与长期合作者 STOMHA BOOK、zombAe 和 death do us apart 凭借作品《123 (the longest dream)》赢得了 Niztopia 歌曲对战。他近期的专辑《rubberneck》可视为这些影响下的日记式结晶，其中没有两首歌听起来相似。

Maximalist yet deliberately low-fidelity, somewhere between dubstep, indie, nth-wave emo, and chiptune: this is “bitcrush music,” self-described by 18-year-old US producer, sound designer and plugin developer (un)familiar. Multi-hypenate since age 11, they’ve released 2 Splice packs on Billegal Sounds, created ‘Spectralsand,’ a spectral delay plugin which made rounds in the producer twittersphere, and became a staple in online music communities like FORM and the Niztopia song wars, which they won this year with ‘123 (the longest dream)’ alongside frequent collaborators STOMACH BOOK, zombAe and death do us apart. Their recent album ‘rubberneck’ is a diaristic culmination of these influences where no two songs sound the same.
‘you can do anything!’ comes from the same ethos that led them to wear so many hats: a toolkit for “as many genres and contexts as possible,” from a multi-genre artist who has “made basically everything at one point.” There is a hifi-via-lofi sonic signature across the entire pack, refined and modern but paradoxically nostalgic, handcrafted, DIY. From liminal low poly pads to miss-the-rage saws, dubstep machine gun basses to entire songs trapped in presets (both Serum 2 and Vital).
